Adult Nonresidential Day Treatment for Alcohol and Drug Addiction
Hazelden offers a daytime primary treatment program providing the complete array of therapeutic services available through our residential programs -- but without an overnight stay. The Day program differs from the Outpatient program in that it requires the patient to take part in an intensive, daily program Monday through Friday from four to six weeks.

Day treatment is primary treatment. Patients receive psychological, social and alcohol/drug assessments, an individualized treatment plan, and post-treatment continuing care recommendations. Therapeutic techniques include daily lectures, group therapy, one-to-one counseling, Twelve Step meetings, spirituality counseling and peer interaction.

Day Treatment is designed for adults, 18 years of age or older who do not require medically supervised detoxification or stabilization; have stable mental and physical health; have had few if any prior treatment experiences; and have supportive and stable environments at home and work.
