Hazelden Supports the Lives and Livelihoods of Those Who are Sober through Rebuild Resources

Hazelden Publishing is pleased to partner with Rebuild Resources, a nonprofit that helps those in recovery rebuild their lives and gain confidence through employment. Student employees at Rebuild Resources stabilize their lives and gain tangible skills needed to bring value to prospective employers. Rebuild Resources then helps each person secure a permanent job which creates room for the next candidate.

"When you show up to work at Rebuild Resources, you can bring your sobriety, you can bring problems, and you can get help. I'm excited for my future. Deep down inside, I know I'm going to make it, and there's nothing that is going to hinder me. There is no goal unreachable to me."

Hazelden has begun the transition by having the apparel and other gifts sold online at www.hazelden.org/bookstore and our other retail outlets produced by the employees at Rebuild Resources. Hazelden will also carry Rebuild-designed and branded apparel. All products created by Rebuild Resources will be clearly identified by their logo in our online store and catalogs.

Rebuild Resources has joined Hazelden Publishing's Partners Program, connecting customers of their retail store, http://www.12stitch.com/ to thousands of recovery-related books and gifts featured in Hazelden's online bookstore and catalogs. In return, Hazelden will give a 12% commission on all sales made through http://www.12stitch.com/ to further their mission to help people in recovery from addiction rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

Hazelden Fellowship Club in St. Paul has had a longstanding relationship with Rebuild Resources. For a number of years, residents of the halfway house have participated in training and job placement through their organization which has led to long-term jobs with livable wages in the Twin Cities. Their 12-Step philosophy and supportive, recovery-focused environment reinforce the principles that individuals put into practice while at Fellowship Club.

More about Rebuild Resources
Rebuild Resources is a nonprofit social enterprise helping recovering men and women rebuild their lives through the most powerful social program of all: a job. We serve adults who are in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Everyone we hire has gone through chemical dependency treatment and is living in a halfway house at the time of hire, and virtually all are low income adults. We are uniquely challenged in that, by design, we employ the very hard to employ. For more information about this program, visit http://www.rebuildresources.com/.
