John A Mac Dougall

John Mac Dougall is a recovering alcoholic and addict. He works as Supervisor of Spiritual Care for Hazelden Recovery Services in Center City, MN, and as Associate Professor of Chemical Dependency Counseling for the graduate program of Hazelden Academic Services.

John has a B.A. in sociology from Rutgers College, a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University Theological School.

John is the co-author, with Bowen White, M.D. of Clinician's Guide to Spirituality, to be published by Hazelden and McGraw-Hill in the spring of 2001.

John leads retreats for the Hazelden Renewal Center in Center City, MN, and also provides educational workshops and retreat leadership for other organizations.

John is married to Priscilla Mac Dougall, who is a licensed addictions counselor. They love music, travel, their family, and each other.
