If you are a parent or parents of a teen or young adult this is the workshop for you! Are you wondering how to support your loved one? Maybe they are just entering treatment or continuing to struggle with substances and other issues, or maybe they do not want to get help. Do you feel like you have tried everything several times over and aren't sure what to do next? These 4 consecutive 90-minute workshops have been developed to specifically support you and provide you with helpful skills to navigate answering the most common questions we hear: How do I say that it? What is my role? What do I do if ...? What about me? How do I set boundaries or what boundaries do I set? We also share skills that have been proven to better your own wellbeing.

We believe that parents and family members are a vital part of this process, and we want to make sure you have the information and support needed to navigate this journey!

Healthy Relationship Workshop series is designed specifically for parents of a teen/young adult (ages 13-25) who may be using substances, or you are worried about behaviors. These workshops will focus on understanding adolescent behavior and development and how to interact effectively.

Workshop Topics

Communication: This first workshop will provide evidence-based effective communication skills that will increase your confidence in sharing your concerns with your loved one and family.

Understanding behaviors: This workshop provides evidence-based skills to help you clarify why behaviors happen, increase your ability to communicate clearly to your family/loved one.

Understanding our role with boundaries: This workshop provides evidence-based skills that support you in knowing how to set boundaries by reinforce healthy behavior or allow for natural consequences to encourage change.

Problem solving and selfcare: This workshop provides evidence-based problem-solving skills to address issues with your loved one on this journey. It will guide you in setting personal self-care goals.

These group workshops benefit participants by gaining proven skills to support healthier choices, improved relationships, and better recovery outcomes.  Learning skills and preparing for situations before they occur helps family members feel empowered to respond versus react.
